What is the duration of a program?
The deadline for completing a program depends on the academic level, the financial plan contracted and the time spent on studies. However, it is required by law in the State of Florida for at least one year of study, except for the Post-Doctorate program, which may be completed within a minimum of two years.
Is the university accredited or certified? What’s the difference?
THEOLOGY & SCIENCES INSTITUTE OF FLORIDA USA INC is a University authorized to operate by the State of Florida in the category of religious entity, and meets or exceeds the minimum standards of the statutes of the State of Florida F. 1005.06 (1) (f), F.S. 1005.04. THEOLOGY & SCIENCES INSTITUTE OF FLORIDA USA INC is affiliated with the Florida Council of Private Colleges, Inc. (FCPC) and the Council of Private Colleges of America, Inc. (CPCA) and certified by them. In addition, the ITS – USA is affiliated with the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).
While accreditation is voluntary, we have always maintained a high standard of
quality in our curriculum, infrastructure, and preparation for certification standards. Accreditation places multiple schedule and structure requirements in the academic program, and would prevent the university from offering programs in three languages. The ITS – USA has chosen to be a more flexible and accessible institution, and to be able to offer courses specifically related to our target audience in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Can my United States diploma be validated in my country?
Each country has its own rules when it comes to the validation of diplomas, being the responsibility of the student this verification with the competent bodies.
Is there any discount available?
Yes, there are three discounts available.
7% for cash payment on the total value of the credits;
10% for duly accredited Gospel Messengers and in the full exercise of their function;
15% for couples who enroll together in two programs, and the discount will be applied in only one of the programs.
Does the ITS – USA offer student visas?
As a non-accredited university, the ITS – USA does not provide a student visa.
Does the ITS – USA offer a scholarship or financial aid?
We do not offer scholarship or financial aid, however, we have monthly payment plans.
Is there a student housing available from the ITS – USA?
We do not offer student housing. There are several housing options that are widely available for daily, monthly and annual rent, so we recommend contacting a property broker. On the other hand, our courses are available in different formats, so the student can take distance education if he can not participate in one of our nuclei.
Do I need to go to Orlando any time while studying at the ITS – USA?
According to the law, the graduation has to be in Orlando. Therefore, the defense of the dissertation will happen in the United States, a week before. We offer seminars during the week of graduation. We encourage our students to participate to benefit from the expertise and network in the professional study area, defend the thesis, and graduate in the same week. All this can be accomplished in one to two weeks in Orlando, and still enjoy an enjoyable time.
How does the ITS – USA thesis process work?
The thesis process begins when the student takes the course of Scientific Research – Theory. Then the student sends his / her project proposal to be approved by the teacher. After that, he does another course called Scientific Research – Project, to help him improve the project. At some point, the ITS – USA points out a mentor / mentor who will help throughout this process. Before the defense of the thesis, the student has the opportunity to schedule an online or face-to-face meeting to validate the project with the University. This meeting serves to give suggestions / guidance in preparation for the final defense of the thesis.
What are seminars?
The ITS – USA offers bi-annual InterSeminars, held in first-class facilities in Orlando, Florida. They deal with Business, Counseling and Coaching, and by participating, ITS – USA students can earn credits / tuition to apply in their academic program, helping to accelerate toward graduation. They provide an opportunity for students to update and expand their educational, professional, and personal development from an international perspective. The cost of these seminars is separate from the price of the program.
Can I choose my classes?
The ITS – USA is always developing knowledge content that is relevant and up-to-date with the demands of the market. Although each program has a set schedule, there are some course options, and students are advised in advance to confirm attendance.
What are the possible ways to attend classes?
Depending on the program and the chosen language, the courses can be made available in different formats, allowing flexibility of access: online / Portal, live and on-site broadcast. As for the courses conducted in person, the ITS – USA currently centers in Florida (Orlando and Pembroke Pines), and in some states of Brazil.
